Inventory Control Analyst

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for production and finished goods inventory accuracy and ensures a smooth flow of materials throughout the process. This position will develop and lead daily inventory cycle counts, manage and maintain safety stock levels for all standard items based on ABC classifications. Plan and manage Kanban items, manage and procure bulk items needed for assembly and develop a sound obsolescence program.

Essential Functions:

Inventory Accuracy & Daily Cycle Counts

• Ensure inventory scrapping & write-off procedures are followed
• Research inventory discrepancies to identify issues and initiate corrective action to resolve
• Investigate and correct any negative inventory problems
• Annual ABC Analysis to determine items to be counted
• Prepare schedule of cycle counts to be performed
• Audit of inventory record accuracy & reconcile counts
• Report cycle count and audit finding to Management through weekly/monthly reporting
• Trains and oversees the cycle counters during the daily cycle counts

Manage & Maintain Safety Stock Levels

Kanban Management

• Manage all aspects of the Kanban system

Procurement

• Development, manage and procure non-bill of material items

Obsolescence

• Determine and evaluate obsolete and excessive inventory
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Finance to determine action
• Report Monthly Obsolete/excessive inventory reduction or findings

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent plus 5 years' experience in Inventory Control
• Proficient with MRP and inventory management within an ERP system
• Exposure to ISO principles preferred
• Must be self-motivated to drive process improvements
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Well-organized with excellent attention to detail
• Problem solving, analytical and time management abilities
