Production Supervisor 2nd shift

Rockford Ball Screw is currently seeking a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to be responsible for leading, managing and assisting activities of all manufacturing departments on our 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm).

Essential Functions:

• Work closely with the production team to continuously identify ways to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the following with the management team to set production, safety, quality expectations and hold teams accountable to those KPIs.
• Participates in maintaining production schedules and ensuring schedule is adhered to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Lead fast response activities and corrective actions regarding quality issues as required.
• Communicates with the production control and management team the status of part completion.
• Ensures compliance to safe work practices by leading by example, as well as fostering a safety-conscious culture encourage proactive identification of hazards.
• Communicate effectively between shifts any issues, or concerns, as well as to implement best practices.
• Ensures operators are performing designated preventative maintenance and housekeeping.
• Develop talent in order to maximize effectiveness through cross training, developing the pipeline of operators, and completing annual performance reviews.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-4+ years operations experience in a manufacturing environment
• Metal working experience preferred e.g. cutting, turning, grinding, etc.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Continuous Improvement Mindset
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work as a part of a fast-paced, shared risk, positive culture team
• Strong problem solving abilities and manage ambiguous scenarios
• Forklift Certification preferred
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
