Quality Control Technician

The role of the Quality Technician is to ensure the highest quality of parts to our customers as directed by the Quality Standards and policies of Rockford Ball Screw. The primary responsibilities for this position are during 1st shift, some 2nd shift hours may be needed for production coverage. This position reports to the QC Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain instrument calibration system (Gagetrack), documents and procedures

Conduct evaluations and complete documentation of returned product for timely disposition

Preform product inspections and testing to meet customer and RBS quality specifications

Generate quality documents including, but not limited to: inspection reports, certification of conformance, material certification packets for customers, etc.

EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS:

Associate Degree and/or training with equivalent work experience in a technical field is a plus

4-5 years experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment, ISO certified environment preferred

Experience with Zeiss CMM programs and Metallurgical testing experience preferred

Strong computer skills using EXCEL and MS Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize
Ability to work with a diverse group of people
Must be proficient in gauges and measuring equipment
