Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Control Clerk

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of this position is to retrieve inventory as required for manufacturing orders, control and distribute inventory from storage locations. Ship outbound product via specified carrier and receive inbound materials and distribute to various specified locations within the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Retrieve material and deliver to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability.
• Release and distribute appropriate materials for production, pick and stage the appropriate component parts.
• Report item shortages and low stock conditions in a timely manner.
• Perform Daily Cycle Counts and assist in reconciling
• Process all shipments & receivables in the ERP System
• Prepares and verifies shipping information against, bill of ladings, invoices, orders or other records and create shipping labels
• Delivers and picks up product from local suppliers or customers as needed
• Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing product
• Coordinate logistics for shipments
• Run end of day shipping and receiving reports
• Maintain shipping documents and files

EQUIPMENT USED:

Forklift truck, overhead crane, computer, tape measure, scale, packaging, and shipping equipment

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Class "C" (non CDL) Driver's License and Insurance required or the ability to obtain a Class "C" within two (2) weeks of employment
